Talk About Disease

Have you ever heard about Chlamydia infection? The chlamydia are infection both in women and men. In women, there may be cervical inflammation or yellow, cloudy discharge from the cervical os. In men, there may be a discharge from the penis. But the female genital tract is anatomically more at risk of infection as the urethra is shorter than that of the male and it is more exposed to potential contamination.

Highest prevalence is in those aged 15 to 24. Gender prevalence is similar. Prevalence is highest in non-Hispanic black people followed by Mexican Americans and then non-Hispanic white people.
